Job Description: Web Software Developer - Intermediate:

G3 is looking for a solid mid-level developer to provide web development support and content management for three high-profile DOD info websites. Resume and info to jobs@g3.com.

These websites are tied into a single document management system for the Military Vaccine (MILVAX) Agency (www.anthrax.mil, www.smallpox.mil, and www.vaccines.mil). Our main focus is helping MILVAX direct key military vaccination programs, with special attention on anthrax & smallpox vaccination, for the entire DOD.

Responsibilities:

50% Web Development:

  • Work with development team to write code to enhance web applications
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs
  • Perform system maintenance, testing, and quality assurance
  • Work under the supervision of senior developers

50% Content Management:

  • Coordinate documentation, website rankings, and usage reports in support of the MILVAX web contract
  • Place all content on the multiple info websites and ensuring accuracy of content
  • Consult with content producers to coordinate new content
  • Obtain & document the necessary approvals
  • Ensure the continued high standards of content offered on our websites
  • Interact directly with development team, senior military staff, and other government employees

Technical Requirements:

Looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 - 4 years experience in the following:

  • Visual Studio .NET 2003/2005
  • ASP.NET 1.1/2.0 (C#)
  • IIS
  • SQL Server 2000, stored procedures, T-SQL
  • JavaScript/VB Script
  • XML, HTML, CSS
  • OOP

Job Requirements:

  • 2-4 yrs post-college experience in IT development and/or consulting
  • Computer Science or IT background/major
  • Excellent verbal/written communication
  • Highly motivated over-achiever with the desire to learn and apply new technology
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Responsible and dependable team player with a great attitude
  • Local to the VA/MD/DC Metro area (job location is in Falls Church, VA)
  • Must be US citizen, be able to pass drug test and obtain US Government Secret Security clearance
